November & He is Here!

Time for an update I should say! I went through out the whole month of november and never updated my blog! I had my birthday, it was the 19th.. Jakes family celebrated it a few days before and then my family celebrated the sunday after! It was a good 21st! Thanksgiving, now thats a story to tell! Wouldn't you all like to know how Jake and I spent our thanksgiving? Okay, I will tell you! Let's start off with November 22.. My doctor called me and asked me if I wanted to be induced since I was 4cm already. So I talked to Jake and he said, "Let's Do It!" So the next day we had to be at the hospital at 7am, when we got there they gave me my IV and started me on some Patocin. It kicked right in and I felt five strong contractions and got the epidural. I was terrified of that and guess what it didn't even hurt! All I have to say is you are crazy if you go natural. Epidurals are heavenly! After that I was in labor for about four hours, but to me it really wasnt labor because I wasn't laboring. I just sat that are relaxed! at about 4:30 the nurse came in and check me and I was 10cm! They got everything ready, I pushed for about 20 minutes and the most AMAZING little guy was born at 9 pounds 3 ounces. BIG BOY! It was by far the most amazing experience any women could ever have! I don't even know how to describe it. What a gift we have! That night while I was laying in bed, I had to use the restroom so I called my nurse and she helped me up and into the bathroom. Once I sat down I thought I had to throw up and from what the nurse said I passed out cold for about half a minute. While I was passed out. I passed a clot bigger then a soft ball. I woke up laying on my bed, tipped backwards with two nurse just pushing on my stomach really hard. Then I passed another clot about the size of a baseball. I was in and out of it and all I remember saying was, "Am I going to die!" There were 8 or 9 nurses in that small room. They were saying all this stuff I didn't understand. They made three attempts to insert a catheter.. the first two they misplaced and it was so painful, the third was successful. I had to get a second IV, two shots in my rear.. which made me shake uncontrolably, tons of different kind of medicnes to do this and that. Finally they got me stablized. It was so scary! And they said I was going to be okay, I just had lost alot of blood. The next morning my doctor came to see how I was doing after the tramatic night. She went to check everything and told me I was going to need surgery because I was still losing alot of blood. The nurse came in gave me another shot in my rear and I started shaking. Right then was the worst I have ever felt. Jake was exhausted from the night before, I was exhausted as well. I was terrified of getting surgery and I felt like I wasn't going to get better. I just layed there and cried. And prayed over and over again that I would stop shaking and feel better. Jake sat at the end of my bed with his face in his hands. My neighbor and my dad came in and gave me a blessing! Jake walked me down to the room and I guess when the nurse put the "sleepy juice" in my IV. I was pretty funny for a minute and then I didn't remember a thing. When I woke up I was in some pretty bad pain. My doctor told me that when I passed the two clots it tore my stiches right out. I also still had left over Placenta inside that was bleeding. So that's where all the blood was coming from. This time I was really alright and I was going to get better! Thank goodness! The next day was thanksgiving & that's how we spent our thanksgiving. In the hospital with our beautiful baby boy! Wouldn't have it any other way!
